New Indie Folk Single Out Now + 2026 Europe Tour Dates
US folk-pop rising star Kendall Lujan, hailed as “the newcomer of the moment” by Rolling Stone Germany and Musikexpress, has just released her touching new single “Savannah” on December 23. The heartfelt track teases her upcoming album My Heart Needs Love, due in 2026, and captures the warm, wistful storytelling that’s quickly making her a name to watch.
The song opens with beautifully strummed guitar chords that set the mood for the cold winter season, even though its title evokes a hot desert landscape, but it's actually a name of a close friend. Kendall’s warm voice enters, calm yet instantly catchy, before the drums join in and carry the track into a powerful chorus. The atmosphere shifts from introspective to wide and emotional. Later, a delicate violin enters the arrangement, heightening the melancholy and delivering a heartfelt, glowing warmth. The tension builds steadily; Kendall Lujan's "Savannah" doesn’t just go into your ears - it goes straight to your heart.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Lujan has quickly carved out her space in the indie scene with soulful melodies and deeply introspective lyrics. Her songs have already been featured on official Spotify Fresh Finds and Apple Music Fresh Finds Folk playlists, praised by NPR’s Tiny Desk and MTV, and honored at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
Her music blends jazz, folk, bossa nova, and indie rock, weaving nostalgic tones with a contemporary spark. Following the release, Kendall will return to Europe in February for a string of intimate live concerts presented by Cute & Dangerous:
